Preschool Opportunities

Sunday morning Bible Study 9:45

This is a teaching time for our preschoolers at their age level.

At 8:30 and 11:00 during worship Teaching and Care provided by parent Volunteers (Angels in the Nursery) This is for infants through four year olds. 

Sunday evenings 5:30-7:00 Petite Praisers – preschool choir for kids aged 3-5 

Petite Praisers is finished for the school year, they will begin again in the fall.

Care is provided for children younger than age three for parents who are involved in a small group or whose parents work with children’s choir. This care is by reservation only.  Children younger than one year cannot be cared for on Sunday evenings.  

Wednesdays, 6:00-7:45 AWANA cubbies during the school year. In the summer, preschoolers whose parents are on the church property either in Bible study or serving in a ministry are cared for in our preschool area from 6:30-7:30, until 8:00 if both parents are in choir rehearsal.

Registration

When you sign in your child, please be sure to note any allergies or special needs. You will also need to indicate your usual location at church during these times. You (preschool parents or guardians) will need to remain on the church property any time your child is in our care unless other arrangements have been made. Children brought to choir on Sunday evenings must be signed in by a parent and you must leave a contact number if you are leaving the church property. Parents take turns providing snacks for Sunday evenings. Please label all belongings so they may be returned to you.  

Guidelines

Parents of preschoolers (both moms and dads) are expected to serve as an Angel in the Nursery at least one Sunday every five weeks. School-age children (siblings of   preschoolers or children of workers) are not allowed in preschool rooms. You must be active at West Mobile Baptist at least six months before serving in the preschool area. Download a volunteer application(required) and turn it in at the info desk.

 Safety and Security

We follow certain guidelines at West Mobile to promote an environment where children are safe and secure. When you arrive, stop at the information desk and either entry and fill out a security ID sticker with number. You will need this ID sticker when picking up your child. Children are only released to an adult with the matching ID number. You may drop off your child in his or her classroom 5 minutes before the beginning of a scheduled class or activity. Please be sure that the adult in the room is the teacher and not another preschool parent before you leave. Two small screens are located at the front of the worship center. If you are needed, your security ID number will light up on the screen. Please go to your child’s room immediately should this occur. Please pick up your child promptly after the church activity ends.

Our Purpose

Our preschool ministry exists to help your child learn about God and His son Jesus Christ. As your child grows, we provide an age-appropriate environment for this to happen. We are dedicated to providing a child-centered, Bible teaching and care giving learning environment. This supplements the family in their attempt to lay a spiritual foundation that will lead the child into a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
